There are over 8,000 people buried in Putnam Valley's historic cemeteries. At least 24 known Revolutionary War veterans are buried in Putnam Valley cemeteries. It is believed that there are additional Revolutionary War veterans buried here but not in established cemeteries. For a list of war veterans, click here.

    There are also "Indian Cemeteries" at Adams Corners [5Z0], and Canopus Hill [5Z1]. Wandering stones and other miscellaneous discoveries are categorized when possible [5Y].
