Carigan, Gilbert

Gilbert is the husband of Charity. Gilbert was a Revolutionary War Solider who served with the Ludington Company DC 7 Militia Regiment. He became an invalid when he accidentally shot himself (NYS Archives Revolutionary War). Sentinel duty October 1777 at Beverly Robinson (Tory) lower mills. Pension file S27587/Fredericksburg Kent pension 1840 age 82 (Census there 1790/1800/1810/1820. Dr. Elias Cornelius visit log book 1795/1805 - records of 1801/1815, page 27, 91 - wife Charity, daughter Mary (buried in Mahopac Cemetery), married Absolom Early.
