Note: Buys incorrectly refers to "Bershebe" Smith as Warren's mother. There is also some confusion around the spelling of his father's name, Able. Both Warren's tombstone and Buys declare "Abel" to be the spelling of Warren's father, but we know from "Able" Smith's tombstone that it was he who was married to Belinda.

We know that "Abel" is the husband of Barsheba Smith, not Belinda Smith, and that he is the father of Mary Smith, not Warren Smith.

Warren Smith's tombstone reads:

"In Memory of
Warren, Son of
Abel & Belinda
Smith, who died
April 1, 1841:
Aged 2 Years
3 Months"
